Gay pride!

I assume you all read about what happened in the teen bar for gays and lesbians. However, if you don’t know, I shall remind you. On the 1st of August, men broke into the teen bar and shoot everywhere, there were 2 murdered and 4 hurt teens, when one of the murdered teens was Liz , from Holon, that just wanted to support gay rights.

I actually heard of this quite late. I was talking on Msn Messenger with a few friends. One of them told me that there was a terrorist attack (or just a “normal” attack) in Tel Aviv. I thought that it’s just another attack and even didn’t bother to check it. About 15 minutes later I searched on the net for something, I can’t remember what it was; eventually I saw the article and decided to read. When I noticed that it was in the teen bar, my heart skipped a beat; I picked up the phone and called all my friends to check if they are alright. Of course I got a few calls too, and it’s nice to know that someone cared about you at that moment. It got even more horrible when I discovered, that Liz died, she was a friend of mine.

I know a lot of gays that are in the closet or out of it, and they can say that getting out of the closet is a relief, but it’s hard, and it is a process, a long one and a painful one. When I was 14 I had my first boyfriend, a cute and lovely, you know, first love. With it, it was hard because we both were in the closet, and it just failed. That period was full of self mercy and depressions, and maybe some repression. But when I got used to the idea that I’m gay, or at least love boys too, I started telling my friends and got a lot of positive responses. My friends accepted my nicely, even very nicely and this days I’m not a shame of being gay or something and I feel great, I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, and I admit I still love girls somewhere, but it’s just another great thing, I enjoy both worlds. Of course my parents don’t know, and I hope they will not know till I tell them.

So, the purpose of this was showing you the gay world a little. Maybe you knew it, maybe not, but eventually ,we all different and it’s a good thing.

I know it quite not what you asked for, and I’m sorry for the 500 words, but I think it’s better than writing a short essay without saying a anything, and the picture in Hebrew because I couldn’t find a English one.

Face-what?

It is the 20th century. The Technology involves in an overwhelming rhythm. The internet has taken a place of honor in our everyday live and we can’t live without it. Even now, when I am writing this essay, I am using my internet. The internet can offer us a lot of bad things like hackers, scams, but with it, it has some great things to offer like shopping online or even Facebook!

Facebook is not only a way to communicate with the world, spend your free time or play games, it’s a way to communicate with your family and friends from miles and miles away. You can show them your photos, share music with them or just have a chat. Facebook is a new, better replacement for ICQ or Msn Messenger.

In addition, Facebook is a way to meet people,it is more likely to find a new friend on Facebook than inreal life. In addition , it’s a way to stay in touch with old friends. For example, I met my elementary school friends there, we haven’t talked for ages.

In conclusion, I can recommend you to join Facebook. Facebook is another door for the future. It will open a new virtual world in front of you, you won’t regret it!

School Uniform's debate

One of the most popular human nature qualities is to judge people by the way they look. Every time a student comes into school, they look around to find their friends or family by the clothes they wear or the way they look. Once the target is found, they can continue their day. However, sometimes the uniform is a necessary thing, when it comes to money, some people have no money to buy “cool” clothes. So the question asked is whether the school uniform is necessary or not?

The uniform creates a solid base for knowing each other, when people meet and wear the same clothes, the way they judge each other changes from cloths to actions, speech and the ideas they support because it becomes the only way to judge someone. In addition, people who can’t afford fancy cloths, won’t be recognized in the society and become the ugly little loners. They will purchase friends and have a normal social life.

On the other hand, the uniform makes people get depressed when they can’t wear the clothes they like. One of the popular habits of girls is to choose clothes in the morning. In addition, the environment of everyone wearing the same clothes creates a cozy, uncomfortable feeling in student’s hearts, it doesn’t matter where they look, they see themselves in gray, black colors . As a result, they don’t want to go to school.

In conclusion, I can say that a school uniform needs to be deleted, but not completely. The kids will be able to choose the clothes they wear, except for the shirt. This will create a balance between all the students and every one will still feel special wearing his own clothes.

Burge Mc'Call

“She married him to get away from the noise of Santa Fe railroad engines” They said. That was the rumor about the Burge couple, Ms. McCall and Mr. McCall. She was tall, thin with black hair parted in the middle and smoothed down on each side. He, however wasn’t like her, he was a short, heavy set man with a loud voice, with disgusting habits and an even more disgusting mouth.

They lived together unpleasantly for three years and four months. For a year and two months, Burge McCall didn’t like the way his life looked at him. Their relationship was very complicated. Burge was very stingy with his wife and Ms. McCall had a very weird reactions(מיותר) to the extrem violence of her husband. Sometimes Burge called Ms. McCall names but she didn’t answer, she just looked at him in the way he disliked. There was one special time when Burge slapped his wife on the face, his wife just wiped the place he slapped her and said:”McCall, you are a big rat. Some day you will regret what you have done”. Burge didn’t understand the reaction; he thought she would throw the iron at him. No one really got it, why didn’t they divorse?!

One day, Burge entered Ms. McCall brothers’ drug store, and her brother told him she had bought some rat poison this morning to poison a big rat. Burge got scared and thought she wanted to poison him. So, he decided to treat Ms. McCall gently. He quit liquor; he started to eat outside the house, so Ms. McCall didn’t have to cook. Eventually, Burge decided to keep her close to him. He took her to picnics and movies; he even bought her a sealskin coat. At the end, he looked at her eyes and noticed they were smiling at him and called her honey.

At the end, Burge died and his wife openly shed tears. They fell in love in the part that they started “dating” again. Venita’s brother never understood why she told him to tell Burge that she had bought rat poison. It is a very special and emotional story. Everyone can learn something from it, eventually I can add that Venita was smart too, and Burge had love in his heart.
